Every dog should have a timetable to be fed and when it comes to a puppy, food must be offered in small quantities, as to a baby.

For the first months, the puppy must have three meals a day, but as he grows, the meal’s quantity decreases, getting into two – the second one should better be offered in the evening.

In the present, ration has been considered the best - and better balanced – dog food.

The puppies start to grind (eat solid food) at three or four weeks old. At this period, give them hot water damped ration. From 3 months old on, ration should be given in its dry form (grains).

The recommended food quantity increases according to the dog’s bearing and age. So, when it comes to the NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF (a “giant” dog when adult), we suggest the following:

Six months old on - something between 3,30 lb and 4,40 lb of ration A DAY

Up to the age of two months - something between 0,44 lb and 0,77 lb of ration A DAY (damped in hot water)

Up to the age of four months - something between 0,77 lb and 2,20 lb of ration A DAY (dry grains)

Up to the age of six months - something between 2,20 lb and 3,30 lb of ration A DAY
