The NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF (a strong bearing and naturally glutton dog) has a natural tendency to indolence and obesity, what is increased by the small individual boxes where theses dogs are generally kept. From these confinements, they are taken out  once or twice a day so that they can do specifics exercises as walking, swimming and so on... But the problem is that we rarely think over if the dog is willing to do so at that moment.

Here, at the Kennel PIAZZA MASTINO D’ITÁLIA, we decided to conceive an environment as natural as possible, spacious and safe for the dogs. This way, our big mollosses (stimulated by their natural curiosity and necessity of playing) could exercise themselves freely, according their own will. Of course this must be done carefully, so that the animal doesn’t become a “rebel” that only thinks about having good time, not obeying the owner and close people commands anymore. That’s why we use the collar constantly while walking with the dog.

So, inside an 140.000 ft2 area – with sunny spaces, some shadows,“multisportif” court, swimming pool, paved areas and lawns – we keep making the necessary adaptations so that our dogs can live as free as possible, but also exercising themselves according to their wills and needs.

Our animals are only taken to confinement in case of special occasions such as:

                    1. Stranger’s presence

                    2. Females rutting

                    3. During meals (to avoid tumults and fights)

                    4. Raining period (to avoid that they get wet, dirty or any skin or lung disease)
